July Quick Links

My system’s acting up: couldn’t resist downloading the Ubuntu 9.10 Alpha. You know, the one that says “DO NOT USE ON A PRODUCTION MACHINE.” So here’s a couple quick links for the rest of the week, if I can’t get it working:

Youngstown Renaissance has links to various events in the Tour of the Valley and the Smoky Hollow 5K Run. I Don’t step on Tyler’s turf: He does a great job promoting the Valley and if you don’t read him, you should.

About.com has a page worth reading on the Top 10 Hiking Trails Near Pittsburgh.

Backpacking Food for the Soul and Dutch Oven Recipes will be added to the camping page soon.

Want to know the difference between Slackpacking and fastpacking? Now you do.

Climbers-What does your Harness say about you?

Finally, regular readers might notice the new Theme on the site. I Like it- I think it’s cleaner and easier to read. But what do you think? Do you like it? Can you find what you’re looking for?

New Readers- What can I improve? Do you know of any links you’d like added? Any upcoming events you want covered?
