MySQL 5.0 Update and Wordpress 2.9: Learn to Code on the Fly
Just a word of advice: Wordpress 2.9 was released. It needs MySQL 4.1. My Host originally had 4.0. I had to export the database to a new database. That is why the site was down most of the day. I managed to find a SSH script to allow me to get all 10M of Steel Valley Outdoors into the right database, but as can be imagined it doesn’t quite have all the kinks out yet. So Much for learning on the fly. Please bear with me over the next few days as i try to find the errors and fix them
Update- Found the code error in the config file that was appending an additional header to all the pages. this was caused by editing it in Notepad to point it at the new database and saving it incorrectly. Everything seems to be working at this point and it is just a matter of rebuilding some lost text files.
Update 2- No, it isn’t Wordpress and the admin pages are working correctly, but I am getting the “Upgrade to 2.9 Now” Message. SInce I have already done it and updated the database, I can’t seem to find a way to lose the nag screen. Any Ideas?
