Off Topic: Youngstown Incubator Interview

Defend Youngstown has an absolutely incredible interview with the head of the Youngstown Business Incubator here.


While it’s kind of off topic for this site, it does show the kind of changes that are taking place in the Mahoning Valley. I firmly believe that the change from a low-skilled manufacturing economy that’s done so well over the last two decades to a high-skilled Information and service economy is both necessary and beneficial to all the residents of this area.


Through this website, I am trying to be one small part of this change. Instead of hearing about how we can’t attract business because of the weather, or because of taxes or whatever. But I feel that by promoting all the different outdoor activities available, I can help show that we do have a higher quality of life than the media leads us to believe.


I’ll leave the actual economic development to people like Mr. Janko and Cossler.
