NWTF Honors Eric Bear as Wildlife Officer of the Year

MARIETTA, OH – The Ohio Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) recently honored Wildlife Officer Eric Bear with the State Officer of the Year Award.  Officer Bear has been serving Ohioans as a wildlife officer since 1998 and is currently assigned to Washington County according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.

Nesting Eagles at Magee Marsh Wildlife Area Closes Trail

Special Youth Turkey Hunt to be Held at Paint Creek State Park

HILLSBORO, OHIO – Young turkey hunters will be able to take advantage of a permit only Youth Turkey Hunt at Paint Creek State Park during the 2011 spring turkey season. Hunters 17 years of age and younger, accompanied by a non-hunting adult, are eligible to apply for a drawing to hunt within four specified zones April 16, 23, 30 and May 7 and 14th, 2011.More…

New Wildlife Officer Assigned to Lake County

Akron, OH – Jason Keller, 23, of Painesville, Ohio was recently assigned as the new Lake County wildlife officer, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.
