Couple of quick links I’ve been collecting in case. These were going to be the basis for longer posts, but that ain’t happening :

  • Ecorover has a good Pickled Deer Heart Recipe. This is nowhere near as gross as it sounds, and is actually one of my favorite delicacies. Heart Meat is actually a muscle, not an organ, so it ends up being kinda like  pickled sausage. A sweet Pickle version is found at the Buckeye Natural Resource page.
  • Google competes with wikipedia with its knol product. Knols mix elements from yahoo answers, wikipedia pages, facebook and squidoo lenses all together.I’ve found a couple of good ones I’ll eventually add to their respective pages. Until then, here’s a backpacking knol and a canoeing and kayaking knol.
  • Penn’s Outdoors has its Top 10 Ontario Fishing Destinations.
  • And Finally, SectionHiker has his Autumn Lightweight backpacking list. Check out the related links at the bottom of the post for more packing lists.
