A Quick Note: Time Bank Mahoning Watershed has a new home. Stop by and volunteer your services to help build our community.

I’ve been following them for about a year now, and the new site is a great way to explain the concept of a time bank and build membership. Basically, every hour you donate is put into a bank. Earn enough service hours, and you can ask for help with one of your own pet projects or take part in a fun activity.

Can help keep a single mom’s car running? Volunteer to help. Need a tree cut down? Someone will do it for you. In these uncertain economic times, every little bit helps.
