First, Shout Youngstown writes about   a lake-to-river bike trail that will go through Mill Creek Park and connect YSU with the Park. What a great idea! Last summer, during the gas crisis, I linked to an article about bike commuting and an organization in Denver that promoted a “Bike to Work” day. Well, here’s an idea where we can be proactive for a change, instead of just reactive. make sure you check out the Metroparks Support and Contact page to make your voice heard.

Next, Check out the TimeBank Mahoning Watershed. This is a free, member-run service exchange that invites folks to share their skills, while drawing out hidden talents and unfulfilled aspirations. Tony is building a community of volunteers, and he needs your skills. Yes, Yours. You know who I’m talking to. You. The guy at the desk.

Look, This is simple. You Volunteer your time and abilities, go to a couple potlucks, meet new people, and in return I’ll come and tutor your kid. Time Is traced on an honor system.  Check it out today!
