Visit the Cuyahoga Valley this Weekend

It looks like Youngstown Renaissance has beaten me to the MSNBC article on the Cuyahoga Valley as one of 12 parks to see.
The National attention is part of the U.S. National Parks Service “National parks week, and there are a lot of activities planned throughout the country. So besides Hiking the Cuyahoga, Biking the Towpath Trail, Shopping in Penninsula or riding the train, you can try one of the following Special Events:
On April 25th:
Junior Ranger Day – Free programs, child-friendly activities and games; 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Happy Days Lodge in Peninsula. Enjoy cake, ice cream and photo opportunities at the 12:30 p.m. swearing-in ceremony. Prizes awarded for most badges and patches, youngest and oldest Junior Rangers. Programs include:
- unior Ranger, Jr.: Water WOW! – Explore why water is not only fun but important. Be prepared to hike and visit a stream up close. Ages 4–6; 10 a.m.-noon.
- Ultimate Junior Ranger Challenge – An adventure that requires speed, strength and smarts. Race against time to compete in a series of challenges that test outdoor skills. Ages 7-12; 10 a.m.-noon.

And On Sunday, April 26th:
Share Your Memories – In preparation for its new documentary about the park, Western Reserve PBS invites people to share memories of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The station will record oral histories from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the park’s Happy Days Lodge.
